The Complete Amazon FBA Photo Workflow

This guide covers the entire process from taking product photos to uploading Amazon-compliant images. No professional equipment needed.

Phase 1: Preparation (10 minutes)

You need a smartphone with a decent camera, white poster board or table, natural window light, and a clean product sample. Place white poster board on a table near a large window, curve it up against a wall for a seamless background, position product in center, ensure even lighting.

Phase 2: Shooting (5 minutes per product)

Required shots for Amazon: main image (front view, white background), back view, side view, detail shot (close-up of key features), scale shot (product in hand), lifestyle shot (product in use), and infographic (features overlay). Use rear camera, turn on grid lines, tap product to focus, shoot in landscape, take 3-5 shots per angle.

Phase 3: AI Editing (2 minutes per product)

Upload best shots to Pic1.ai, AI removes backgrounds in 3 seconds each, select Amazon preset (2500x2500, white background), add contact shadow for professional look, download all versions.

Phase 4: Upload to Seller Central (5 minutes)

Go to Inventory, Manage Inventory, Edit listing. Upload main image (white background, front view), upload additional images in order of importance, verify images meet requirements in preview, save and publish.

Amazon Image Requirements Checklist

Main image must have pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), minimum 1000x1000 pixels (2500x2500 recommended), product fills 85% of frame, no text/logos/watermarks on main image, JPEG/PNG/TIFF/GIF format, under 10MB, must be actual product (no illustrations).
